Oregon Hiking Trails

Oregon hiking trails offer miles upon miles of a variety of different hiking trails in the state of Oregon, and hiking is a great passion for many of the Oregon residents. Oregon hiking trails include the famous Pacific Crest Trail, which stretches through from Canada to Mexico, cuts right through Oregon and is a favorite choice among hikers. Although hiking the entire trail would take multiple months, there are sections of the trail that can be hiked for as long or as short as hikers like.

The Oregon Coast Trail is another of the most popular places among Oregon hiking trails. In addition to these famous Oregon hiking trails, there are also hundreds of lesser known trails that are still quite beautiful.

In fact, no matter where you are in Oregon, you shouldn't have much trouble finding any of these great, spectacular Oregon hiking trails. Favorite spots along this popular trail include Boardman State Park in the south of Oregon, where a nice three mile hike can be enjoyed, and the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, where there are various Oregon hiking trails with hikes ranging from four miles to just over twelve.

If all of this isn't enough, just to the south is Mendocino and Yosemite. Another great trail for Oregon hiking trails is the Clackamas River Trail.

Trekkers hiking the Clackamas River Trail will get a chance to see much of the Clackamas River and surrounding area. The Clackamas River Trail is popular due to its proximity to nearby cities and towns, which makes the hiking trail quite accessible. The Clackamas River Trail is one of the Oregon hiking trails just over 15 miles long, and although that may be too long for one day, a comfortable hike of seven or eight miles can be enjoyed. Hiking the Oregon hiking trails in Bend and Sunriver is also a popular pursuit.

The Deschutes River Trail is probably the most popular choice. The Three Sisters Wilderness Area is also popular and winds through some interesting volcanic peaks via the Oregon hiking trails.

Surprisingly, Portland is also a great place for hiking. Forest Park, within city limits, is a fun way to go for a day hike in town. There are literally over 50 miles of Oregon hiking trails, making this a great way for stretching your legs after checking out the Portland Rose Garden or some of Portland's other great attractions adjacent to these magnificent Oregon hiking trails.
